Field Hospitals

Hitpoints increased to 1500.00 (up from 250.00).
Build points reduced to 10.00 (down from 20.00).
Bounty XP reduced to 80.00 (down from 160.00).
Build Bounty XP reduced to 40.00 (down from 80.00).
Wood cost reduced to 200.00 (down from 400.00).


Should be interesting

I'm assuming they want to see if they can get healing incorportated into the game...(FH auto-heal, IIRC....right?)

FH can train Surgeon. So, reading Bob's charts, Surgeon has 100 less HP than Priest, while healing at the same rate, doing the same damage, and has the same train time.....but costs 100G more....what?

may i say a nice LOL @ sam christy, his iro strat hes been working on....now does not exsist!! and his aztec Bb rush....is no more!!


not so sure why cuirs didnt get a nerf...cav may become more dominant

Was the Spain nerf expected? They really jacked the Rod & Lancer cards!

I did not really expect the Spain nerfs, and I don't really think they were necessary.

No more spamming OP Mams and Elmetis from the Saloon in Fortress Age. Too bad it's too late for Drew! Hahaha.

I'm interested to see what effect the xbow changes have.

I"m SO GLAD the dances were nerfed!

Oh yea and it looks like Sioux and Dutch won't be as totally dominant now. :D

Ottoman changes -- very interesting. I'm just wondering if the boosts / changes will make up for a mega nerf to Silk Road. I'm not so sure.

OH yea and OFFSHORESUPPORT NERFED YEA!!!

China got hit pretty hard...disciples now not very useful (wardogs are better) and their anti-cav got some small boosts. They now officially have the WORST wonders of any of the Asian civs. The White Pagoda is totally useless and the Porcelain Tower is still okay but not nearly as good. Oh yea, hand mortars now completely suck against anything but buildings and maybe artillery. Needed but...perhaps extreme. Bad day for China imo. :(

I think Aztec will be a lot less lame, thankfully. Received some really interesting boosts but also some much needed fixes to *** eagles, *** tlalocs, and *** dances.

What do you guys think of Ports now? Some significant boosts to Cassadores, Hussars are now much more useful in the long run, and there weren't any significant nerfs to CM (although the TC had some of its attacks nerfed, but none that would effect the ability to defend a rush with dual CM TCs as far as I can tell). Also, a few of the stronger FF civs got some significant nerfs.


I think Germany and Russia may emerge from this looking pretty strong. Not sure about Aztec. I'm curious to see how France does. I'm thinking France might be weaker now since Xbows aren't as strong of an all around unit. Better against HI rushes though. France might be better off just going for musk harass in Colonial or FFing more often. Might not be that big of a deal though. Germany is much more secure early on, and Russia recieved some nice training time boosts to their infantry while Sevastopol is still a fairly decent card, from what I can tell. Suvorov Reforms remains untouched, as well.

This patch changes A LOT. Overall I am REALLY happy with the overall changes they made to the counter system. Skirms don't own cav as easily anymore, and there are fewer units that break the counter system.

I think some civs will be much weaker than before, and perhaps some will be much stronger. But overall the game will be more balanced.

So, if I'm reading this right...

Ranged Infantry:
x0.75 vs Abstract Cavalry and Abstract Coyote Man
x2.00 vs Abstract Light Cavalry and Eagle Runner

Ranged Infantry still come out at x1.50 vs Light Cav (Goons, Ruyters, Cav Archers, etc...) Right?

Okay, atm I'm thinking Aztecs will PWN in Colonial but still be not so good afterwards...

Xbow civs are probably in real trouble against Aztec rush.

Russia 14 vill Strelet + 5+4 Cossack rush is looking very nice right about now.
