....the other (me) :-P shows how not to use them. In my defence I have hardly ever used Ports before so all I tried to do was age up as quickly as possible to Fortress. After that I didn't know what to do, so any tips/strats would be appreciated.

GG mate my fast age 4 was a bit slow at getting out the units fast dont think I should of shiped the 1k gold.
