what a game (arg-ger)!
I dont think the score really reflects the match... I would even say Arg played very good for most of the game (before the 2nd goal) they just couldnt score> Germany hung on the early goal and countered very well in the 2nd half. gg
Yeah very true. Actually you don't have to make any goals to win the world cup (unless you count scoring penalties after the extra time as goals)

Having more ballpossession doesn't mean you control the game. It was actually planned so that the argentinian players would play more offensive, because they struggle on their way back. The main difference was that the offensive of Argentina didn't defend. The german offensive did so and that is why Argentina had not a single good opportunity to score a goal.

A tactic that has been working very well, the German team seems to have great pace in the offensive, often equaling or outnumbering the defenders in the counter-attack. It will be interesting to see if their opponents can adapt now the strategy has been used a few times.

the Real trick is don't allow them to do them by not letting them score

Re: World Cup Discussion
Spain will be a real test. They play more or less slow, but they have an awesome pass game and a good technique. 2 years ago Germany had no chance vs Spain, i hope it will be closer this time.
Re: World Cup Discussion
It will be important who will shoot the first goal. If it will be Germany then i think they will win.
I hope del Bosque will trust Torres again, who plays an awful world cup

I really don't think spain will be so much of a test. I said it about Brazil, and I said it about spain. They are way over rated, spain are not as good as people think. The germans will beat them.

Re: World Cup Discussion
spain isnt overrated, have u seen how hard they owned 2 years back at the euro championship? They still have really balanced team with some very skillfull players. I think spain is definitely better then argentina so it will be another test for the germans

How they played 2 years ago means NOTHING. This is the same team that got beat 2-0 by USA. Or are you going to change your stance on how good the US is???
It's how they are playing right now, and Spain are lucky to be where they are.

Re: World Cup Discussion
that 2-0 game was for some bs tournament, so doesnt count, and both teams have already lost this tourney, germans got pwned by serbia and spain by switzerland, so on a bad day they can both loose.

Re: World Cup Discussion
Though germany got pwned because of a red card, for what I've seen from that match they were better with 10 men than Serbia with 11 men, they just couldn't score the deserved goal than
