hm the asians are alwasy very nice, oen of the nicest on ESO but it is true that alot of their games are "asian only". most of them don't speak english and if they do, not very well.
they seem to be happy about playing themselves so they don't see the need to play against other ppl. also remember that games get more laggy the further ppl are away from each other.

tbh i have the problem too but with general ESO, not with a group of ppl.
whenever i'm just 3 pr higher than anybody, you get immediately kicked.
only few really play anymore, that's why i played QS alot recently.
no pussing around, you play who you get

they don't even look at the pr number, just the title i guess,:
so playing vs a pr 25 is "okay" since he is stil classified as 1st Lieutenant
but somebody who is alreay 26 is a Captain

I understand the asian community, it's almost like a clan.
To avoid lag and language issues, they keep it private.
One more thing, I think too many non-asians are flamers and behave like retards online, and that is very dif in Asia. I dislike playing with random people for that same reason, that's why I like N3O, just like they have their community.

I also think the language is what keeps them by themselves.
But you have a vaild point drew, splitting the community isnt helping anyone.

I always loved to go qs in the morning to play with fellow asians: they'd always say " u2 " after my " gl hf" and would always say gg. They also didn't play lame civs 24/7.

I think to summerise, the Asians are very respectfull to eachother, and there are too many idiots thoughout the rest of ESO who disconnect, drop, flame, abusive, hack etc. So for that reason, I respect their reasons not to get involved with the rest of the community.

Having said that, I feel that if they kept up with news in our end, eg: AgeSanc etc, then they would know which players and clans were ok etc, and maybe could expand their strictness on who can play in their games etc. Some of the top players have already said they play with Asians no problem all the time, but this is only because the Asians know of them/know them etc, so I think they are just wary of unknown players.

I think "don't respect" was a bit strong, or perhaps the wrong way to word it adam, but I know the point you are trying to make and agree with you to a certain extent. But put yourself in their community and mindset, and perhaps you would see it a little differently.

^Perhaps, disagree with their thinking may have been the wording I was looking for. At the same time I did want the topic to stir up controversy... so...

This morning there were 5, yes 5 password protected games hosted by the community.

Not to mention the chat rooms, at least half of them are hosted by asians and password protected.

I respect what they do they made their own eso they play with ppl they know and sure that they play fair they understand each other and that is fine
I understand that you may wanna play some games with them but if they don't speak english its gonna be a taunt and flare game but you can't really talk to each other. and we all here did the same we joined N3O because we know everybody here is nice always say gl hf and gg on the end they do the same they join the community to know they always have a fun game with gg on the end. of course if they speak english and there is a way to play with them and they know that we are the good clans without cheating the fp can have more games you get more friends maybe but things can't always go as you want and you need to accept that.

hmm....

1st thing I have 2 say is that I would have expected a lot of peeps 2 write a post similar 2 this 1, including myself, but never u Adam. I guess we learn something new about each other everyday. I am not criticising u with this Adam, merely stating that I would not have expeted Mr diplomat representin´2 come across the way u did with this thread.

2ndly, I would like say the following: we, N3O, really are in a league of our own! Compare, if u dare, the way this very same thread is being treated with whats going on in flamesanctuary, or is it trollsanctuary. Congrats 2 us all on this. We our fair share of EmpAl´s but nothing compared 2 "them".

Now, back 2 the topic at hand. a) We do not speak their language. End of story. It is not that they that dont speak English, but we that dont speak theirs. Not having any proof 2 back up my forthcoming statement, since Im 2 lazy 2 provide such proof, let me say that I believe that the Asians speak more languages per capita then we westerners do. This is simply bcos "every1" relies on the english language 2 get by. Yes the language barrier is immense. Lets not forget that even if I could speak Cantonese or Mandorin (not Chinese as so many ignorants in dumbsanctuary call it) I would simply not b able 2 write it. So the barrier is, in truth, at least 2fold. Forget ventrilo or even typing 2 ur asian team mates, it will not happen. Taunting. Could work but I really have no idea what taunt 5 sounds like in any non english version. Does it say the same thing, yet in a diferent language, throughout the world? If u want 2 play on a competitive level, and most do in our "community", then the language issue will become just that, an issue.

Lag. This has been another aspect mentioned in that inferno infested website I refuse 2 name properly. To those that think lag is an issue bcos of the distances required for the zeros and ones 2 travel let me say this: be quiet. I will have way more lag heavy games playing with some idiot 30 miles away from me that doesnt have a graphix card 2 suport pakman or who refuses 2 stop downloading kiddy porn while he waits 4 me 2 raid him.

This really only leaves me with the cultural aspect, and yes this is what, imho, it all really comes down 2. We are ALL diferent! If we were all as se»«y as I am no woman would ever walk properly again. The East, especially the FAR east, which is what Adam is essentially refering 2 here, see´s the worlkd with very diferent eyes in comparison with "us". Or should I say we c the world in a diferent way from them ?!? When I host a game (from which I have also never been booted from) I try my hardest 2 have my game N3O only. Some might see it as being obnoxious, others as elitist, but I really dont care what others think. What I work 2wards is an environment that fits my very personal needs, and they are: FUN! Fun, but my way! N3O provides me with this end result, so only if there really is no other way viable and if every1 gets bored of waiitng for that 4th or 6th player do I open up a "public" slot. I truly believe this is, in some distorted oriental way, the same thing going through my asian friends heads.

I have played many games, rated and unrated, on both RE and FP I might add, with asian players. Yes they 2 have their fair share of trolls, jerks and even stupid f´ing idiots, BUT I simply can not state that they have more, the same or less **** per digital inch than their western counterparts. Equally, I find several password protected games that are, or appear to be, of non asian origin. The fact that people want 2 play in a very restricted, priavte, atmosephere is ok with me. Yes it can appear 2 b a little frustrating, which is what I believe Adam is experiencing, 2 log on at a certain "quieter" time of the day (since, again in Adams case, he logs on mostly just b4 he endures that slavery we like 2 call work) and find that of the few people that are on at that time that, again and again, half full rooms locked by digital keys contain a number of people which simply "appear" not want 2 welcome the "gaijin". Then the language barrier sets in! ie there is no "F off we dont like u spaghetti westerners" nor is there a "I do say, sorry old chap but it appears that the slot u r occupying is currently reserved, would u mind leaving b4 I kick u in da goooooolies". So polite whispers wont do either.

Where does this leave us. Well it leaves us in a dificult situation tbh. Bcos at the end of the day all we, and this naturally includes Adma here, and is what ssentially he aspires 2 with his thread, is that the largest number of people, worldwide, get 2gether and play this most amazing game we so enjoy. The fact than an evergrowing number of people wish 2 play in a, what we are simply generalizing, as a non social manner is simply not the case. NBA´s golden rule apllies perfectly here, "hate the game, not the player", since much of this cultural and social dificulty could, in my eyes, be ratyher easily overcome by the powers that b. Those where Ensemble Studios when thay came up with that pathetic userUNfriendly ESO and now, naturally, Robot EnterLAGment.

just my 2 cent really

That is one hell of a post. I originally had about 5 pieces quoted and figure I might as well have just quoted the whole past. Haha. I suspect that you are right that it comes down to culture.
