I wanna see the device. What's next, "city shut down due to suspicious package that employee alleges is a 'laptop computer', whatever that is"

Reminds me of the time traffic in Boston got messed up because some stupid people associated with Adult Swim put mockups of the Mooninites around the bridges or some such nonsense.
People thought they were terrorist-related or something like that.

"the device was roughly the size of a loaf of bread and contained three lights and a stopwatch..."
Ooooohh I got scared just reading about this thing... no wonder they evacuated the bank. Loaves of bread with lights and timers pose a substantial threat to major financial institutions everywhere. And downtown Columbus is high on al-Qaeda's priority list.
Or maybe the "employee who came forward" wanted to "blow up the competition" during a sales meeting. You know, one of those bad attempts at corporate meeting humor when they put on Power Point slides and make really lousy jokes about their competitors onscreen.
If this woman had just restrained her desire to make an impression at her meeting with a device that looked like a bomb, thousands of employees would not have lost 2 3/4 hours in wages.
