Three questions about factories.
1.How many vills is factory gathering equivelent to?
2.Do they gather at different rates?

7, iirc. The gather rates are different I think, and the upgrades are 30% but use the facs for heavy cannons.

They produce too slow for me especially in 40 min treaty games. By the time they are ready I always have max pop so I don't get the cannon. Also I found that 2 can provide enough wood to keep me going so I can have all villies on food and gold.

I find facotry more useful producing wood, as its one of the ressources that has a limit, and its always a good idea to have some wood stacked...

Yeah heavy cannons and great bombards are the best artillery units because of huge area of effect, only get falcs and cav falcs when you need them quickly.

Factories produce artillery 1.3x faster than you would gather equivalent resources from the factory (then again there is the Heavy Cannon in que issue). So I dunno.

i prefer to get wood with em like ara said!
i usually dont get to this point in game but it really depends on the game/map. if i get to industrial before others do or if the other team is making pure inf i will go for heavy cannon. if they are goign cav or everyone is in industiral/imperial and resources are running dry and its a big battle, i'll go for resources.

No, what I meant is that if your batch of HC dies and you need artillery kinda like in the moment you're not gonna wait for the next. Otherwise HC>>all (6 heavy cannons kill 4 culvs in contrary to common belief)

HC are the win. So God damn much fun to use. Same with rockets and bombards.
