I think they are of the feeling that it's better to put you in a lower league and let your work yourself up to your true rating than to put you above where you belong and be miserable until you lose enough to get down to your rating.

If you scout dual rax (which is really easy), you just start gurka and ship 4 sowar. It would be really hard to deal with.

Definitely fake.

Defensive pylons to start with defensive gate/core/robo in case of early maraduer aggression is best. Only time I could see it being different is if you were going to try and grab an expo early on and wanted to spread your gate/pylons somewhere in between.
