Japanese and their Dojos

As most active members now Ive been playing a lot of Japs l8ly. Ive pretty much tested most strats, on and off water. Ive also taken some time 2 watch as many recs as I coud get my hands on. The one thing that intrigues me are the Dojo cards. Ive seen George III use them and thats it. Only rec I have is when he plays 2 dojo cards. Didnt actually find it helped that much tbh. The units spwanned after a huge amount of time. Free units r cool n all but if u have 2 play a card and still wait periodicly for ages 4 the couple of free units to show seems a little weak imho. Unless the dojos do something else other then spawn free units.

Ur thoughts on this matter would greatly b apreciated.

PS Nav I saw that u like the dojo cards in ur deck when u posted on ur Jap strats and deck builds.

They sound cool in theory,

but in practice they are completley useless imo I mean it's not worth sending a card for something that has little more hp than a house and takes in excess of 3 minutes to make 5 ashigarus. I would personally ship 7 vills or economy upgrades as I think I would find them much more effective!

They are worth 7 vill res, but it takes way too long to get something. Specially when you feel you don't need that type of unit and you need to change and it goes down to 0 again :\ Lategame may be a possibility.

Maybe they'd work well in a No Rush game? although tbh I don't really play them

I doubt they are useful in common games.
Taking up age III slots is really annoying

Yes, in theory they'd work as 14 vills to help your 75 vill cap. I don't like losing slots either, it doesn't seem that ES wanted people to use it.

Those 3000hp dojo's that raid can be annoying though.

Are you referring to the Shogun?

The shogun can't train normal units. He can only train artillery, shinobi, and yamabushi. Diamyos, on the other hand, are nowhere near as powerful in combat but can train normal units.

Its only the Shogun that has that much hp, but its great when raiding oppo with them, if theyre unupgraded(usually not the case but...) they can be killed in one hit, but Lazy is on about the Dojo building, that automatically spawns units, but yeah it takes ages, and I've found i never use them, so I think I'm gonna take them out, thanks for the heads up guys.

I think if they made dojo's more like factories and an age 4 card they would be better. Choose to spawn units or collect resources, that would also help with Japan's 75 vill + lousy shrines eco.
