a new mouse! advice...
For the first time in my 20 years of Pc history, it looks like me (or my wife) actually busted our mouse.
Cost me 2 games before I realised it want the batteries.
So what should I buy. Anybody over here has a special gaming mouse?
Is a logitecg G5 suited for AOE3? Or should I just go for an ordinary logitech laser mouse, wich is half the price?
I dont play shooters games btw.

Well, imo my mouse is great for gaming, and is a logitec, optical laser wireless mouse!
I'll try finding a link, it cost me around £30

There are some pics of it, with the keyboard

check HCW, they have it, but i think the price is wrong, it says 199 euro, but the normal price should be between 19 and 25 euro max.

i would definitly get the mx518, eall my friends have one and they all love them(we ordered 6 off a site at one time lol)
Re: a new mouse! advice...
Well went shopping last nite and it's an MX400 at 35€, because they didnt have the RX 1000 in stock.
THe MX518 and G5 looked great but they were just 1 bridge to far for my wife, who's using our PC even more than me.

The Logitech MX series is great for the everyday user. Any gamer KNOWS that wireless units (keyboards and/or mice) decrease response time.
Best mouse a gaming wallet can buy is a "Razor" mouse. Im currently using the "Copperhead" with which Im very happy with atm.
With regards to AoE any €10 mouse will suffice. If u can afford it the MX series is great. I used a MX510 for several years and find it even more ergonomic than my current 1!

I agree with LaZy about the Razor mice, and I sent a message to luukje to that effect (I didn't have forum permission yet).
Here's how my letter read:
I couldn't post in the forum, but Razer mice are incredibly good. They're light, SUPER comfortable, work until you hit them with a hammer, have a 7 foot-super-light-weight cord, gold connecting plugs and the best DPI/lasers/data speed of any mouse I have ever seen.
Also quite reasonably priced for mice that will last you FOREVER. Also have great drivers, with easily programmable buttons, On-The-Fly Sensitivity adjustment, and buttons programmable to macros (Handy for the "Select the TC & ring bell).

Prices range from 39.99 to 99.99 USD for quite possibly the best mouse in the world.

Razor are about the best gaming mice that money can buy, if your 99% gaming on your PC thenit is a worthwhile investment.
If you do a lot of other work on your PC and gaming is a small part of what you use it for (I use my PC about 10%-15% for gaming I think) then get an MX model. I got one recently, wireless, no batteries though..... just sits in it's own charger.
This is my mouse:
Logitech MX Revolution
One of the best buys I ever made. I had quite an expensive Microsoft mouse previously, it only lasted me 2 years before it pretty much gave up on me. (Very heavy use though). So I'm hoping this one will last me much longer.
