Re: World Cup Discussion
this sux, but i have to admit, spain was simply better, with a bit of luck we could have won but we already spilled our luck earlier in the tournament.
And yeah that ref was a kankerhomo
I thought first half was all spain, but the second half the dutch played better and had many chances. Very open in the second half, I thought the dutch were going to take it.
As for the ref, he wasn't that bad. Got most of the game right in my opinion.

Re: World Cup Discussion
I was a bit annoyed with the ref to, he lost it a bit to the end. Maybe the tension got to him to. Or maybe after 90 minutes, they should just put in a fresh referee. If you look at the goal, there's 3 or 4 times he could have stopped spain: it was a corner, there's a spanish foul, then offside,...
Re: World Cup Discussion
in general a tourney with a lot of low quality matches and an uninspiring champion.

Re: World Cup Discussion
Well allthough Im sad, and could curse with every single letter of the alphabet, I think we must also understand that what Holland, with only 16 milion inhabitants, has achieved is already outstanding.

It will continue like this on next WCs. We are used to CL now and national teams cannot reach that level.

Re: World Cup Discussion
Just to finish it off:

Also - how the heck did spain win the fair-play award??? They flopped worse than a fish out of water. Not to mention the dive by iniesta that got the second yellow....

Re: World Cup Discussion
LOL spain getting the fair-play award hahahaha Germany should take it imo. They were one of the few teams that didn't constantly struggle on getting an extra yellow card for the other team.
On the other hand the best player award for Forlán is very well deserved.

Re: World Cup Discussion
You deserved it!
Portugal and Brazil losing early totally screwed up my previsions
Uruguay wasn't on the math either.
