Wonderfully written Kaiser. Only addition I would make as the most OP combo in age 2 early game on many maps is india/brit making sepoy and lb. Me and soccer rocked that from 2nd to 1st lt. I believe sepoy are actually better than ashis at the beginning of age 2, with a ranged attack bonus vs cav, 2...

I think what you say about pressure is correct. This might be a good strat for a better player in the clan training a less talented player how to apply pressure.

Explorer Micro. It does exist in many ways, and this is one of them. If you time it right, you can get fired shots off which do more damage, in between melee hits, can you not? I believe this is right. If not, I still think its fair, because you should be watching your explorer, imho.

9/10 or 10/10 every time vs brit, u out mass him early on, 12 sepoys should be out in under 5, maybe a few seconds after at the worst. You should not be getting outmassed by pike/xbow/musket by any other civ because sepoy owns every one of those units. just dont get too close, keep them constrained ...
