Re: Severe Computer Problem(s)
Now it keeps rebooting at random intervals, I'm sure it's an operating system error, since I keep getting a black screen saying a System32 folder is either corrupted or missing, yet when I insert my OS disk, I get no option to repair it, as I should have.
This is driving me nuts!

Re: hi
There's a lot of Officer speculation on whether or not to allow members who clan-hop to rejoin. I think the officers will have to discuss this. Unlike other clans, we are a close-knot community and we take clan-hopping as a sign of being disloyal.

Re: Severe Computer Problem(s)
Okay now for some weird reason my PC has decided to start working.
I've went back to a restore point from March and everything seems to be okay.
I'll keep you posted if I get any more weird happenings...

Re: Severe Computer Problem(s)
Okay for the first time I entered the BIOS today, but there's no clue as to what could be causing the problem. I checked the CPU temperature, which is only 25 degrees celsius. (I set the max temp to 65 just in case.) Coma, Jim, or anyone - is there a way to completely reformat your hard drive with y...

If you're pushing hard, ship your musks. If it's a scenario where neither player is fighting, ship 700F, as a general rule of thumb.

Everyone on AgeComm is immature.
Every post made there is either to increase a person's post count, or to belittle someone.
Nah, think I'll stick to N3O forums thank you very much.

Re: Sioux Buffalo Bonaza for the Fan Patch
I can imagine this strategy being useful in expected short-time games, such as native vs native for instance. But when your opponent starts churning out 3 villagers at a time, shipping his economic cards, and spamming mills here there and everywhere, you're eventually going to fall behind. Don't get...

Re: Severe Computer Problem(s)
Update: I've decided that this PC is now a knacker-job. I've decided in my wisdom it's probably better to replace the whole computer then to attempt to repair it as it is. This PC is old and falling apart anyway, I've had it for six years now. Another reason why I'm buying a new one is because I can...

Re: Severe Computer Problem(s)
Well, I'm getting a black screen now with the message;
Windows cannot start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
C:/Windows/System32/Boot.exe
I checked the capacitors, and there's no bulging or leakage.
And Jim I have no idea how to reconfigure the BIOS.
Sounds like a serious mainboard problem. Did u have a look at the capacitors on the mainboard?
Haven't tried that yet, I'll do that when I get home and report back.
By the way thanks for all the help guys, it's much appreciated.

Re: Severe Computer Problem(s)
Yep when it first restarted, it managed to get to the desktop for 5 minutes before it rebooted again. I restored it to an earlier point (16th March I think), and the problem still persists.

Re: Severe Computer Problem(s)
That's just it, Comadevil, I cannot access the BIOS because the key I press simply freezes the screen. After it has frozen, the only way to control the PC is to either Ctrl+Alt+Del it, which reboots it, or turn it off either at the PC or the mains. Or maybe I'm not pressing the correct key, does any...
