An idea for a tournament

I was just thinking of a possible idea for a future tournament within the clan. How about American clan members v Rest of the World clan members. Might be a bit of fun as there are quite a lot of different nationalties here and it might be a good laugh as I expect you Yanks would easily win. So any feedback?

What kind of tourney are you thinking of? I am thinking to have one Am (American) player to play against RoW (rest of world) player of equal rank. (ie, 1st Lieut vs 1st Lieut, Captain vs Captain, etc) and the winner will get points for the team. At the end of the tourney the team with most points wins. In this way everyone is involved. What do you guys think?

If everybody interested puts his name down, and you get 32 interested players, you could make 8 groups of 4 players. You divide the players acoording to PR or ELO. And then you make 8 tiny clan leaders and they get to pick 1 from 3 other groups.
They can pick their friends, the best players, ...

Well the 'mini' clans league sounds cool. However it doesn't have to be 8 teams. There can be more teams of 4 players if there is enough interest. The format can be 1 4v4, 2 2v2s and 4 1v1s per clan match. Boy this sounds exciting.

The N3O league is for 1v1 for the title of best N3O player only.

Some of the members who were with us through the old forums may remember we discussed having a league before, and said it was something to think about for the future. Perhaps we'll start one this year.

At the moment though, we are still finishing the "Death or Glory" 1v1 tourney, we have a new season in the RTS league starting next week, and we also have players starting the GR Mentor tourney tomorrow, and some guys are in the FFA league.

So we have a lot going on just now, when things start to slow down I think yes, it would be great and I would be happy to start it up. Right now wouldn't be a good idea in my opinion.

I'll start a thread soon detailing my previous thoughts and ideas on an N3O league. You may find it interesting!

I was all for the league before and still am, we got close to getting this going last year but did something else instead I think. We'll get the league going one day...

I like the idea of a league, though it by no means has to be based on nationality, heh.
