most memorable video games
got into a debate the other day with my bro about what video games we thought of as best or most memorable. he said the original chrono trigger while i said resident evil 1 followed by it's sequel resident evil 2.
RE1 and better yet - the gamecube remake are what i consider as the most memorable. most remakes suck and ruin the rep of the original , but the gamecube remake was what i considered to be fantastic. the gameplay was the same and the introduction of lisa trevor into the plot was awesome. the improved graphics were also a very big plus - such a massive difference from early playstation title games. what really sold it for me was that they kept the original soundtrack which imo is the creepiest of all the RE series.
i am curious as to what games other people here would consider as their most memorable.

The days of AOE3 with Skype or Vent is the best multilayer experience I ever had.
AOK on the CBA map is a very close in 2nd place
Best solo games for me , AOK, Vice City, Pokemon Yellow.

Re: most memorable video games
i never got into the pokemon scene but iirc they were a turn based or menu based gamestyle or smt?
for turn based games i loved final fantasy 7 , had 152 hours on one memory card solely from ff7 play.

FF VII
The original Chrono Trigger is great stuff
I have a special place in my heart for the original Sid Meyers Civilization and for Sim City
(I left out all the OP AOE games )

Re: most memorable video games
i agree with dhd, resident evil is awesome, especially the gamecube remake.
i heard many good things about chrono trigger but never played it mor than 3 hours
i also agree about FF, especially 7!
Pokémon was also great, especially the original one until gold and silver.
GTA 3 and Vice City were also great, many say San Andreas was the best.
For my own suggestion, i wanna put secret of mana and secret of evermore in, as well as Mario Kart (SNES, N64), Donkey Kong Country, Diablo 2 and Mario Party. There was also a ps game called Poy Poy which was a nice multiplayer experience.
