is that replay still meaningful?
i think pcgh tested sc2 in august 2010
from last year to this year, blizzard increased the performance throughout the patches except the forcing of no shadows on "Low" anymore)

what speaks for the replay is that you can test cpu and gpu with it^^

Yes, it is. U can still download it at the FAQ Benchmarling of PCGH.
Else u also cannot compare results of new tests to older tests, if u use all the time a new replay

i think that replay is a bit too hardcore. if i remember the test right, there wasn't a huge diff between the best cpu and a middle class one because on all it was slow. maybe a 200/200 battle in 1v1 or 100/100 battles in 3vs3 are a better way to measure?

i know i criticize PCGH too much :D

The problem is: Do u want to test a normal game situation or just a situation which brings CPU and graphics card to the limit, so u can see a difference in comparison? ALways a matter of view and preference. If u ask Lazy, this is a test he wants. Because he complains about his comp in very big 4v4 battles
Well and they make with a VOD quite clear what kind of situation they use for benchmarking, so everyone can apapt to it ;)
