10 months ago i played my last online game. Reason:  my studies, but more so a suck ass pc who was lagging so much i couldn't use boxes to select units.... This cold turkey has taken to long, i'm shaking in my boots because of the lake of dragoons and skrims. So i'm going to buy a new pc/laptop afther my exams before i become crazy.

Does anyone has some advice for a new gaming laptop that can be used for a non-lag game aoe and mayby also sc2?

yes , buy a desktop, even a ture gaming laptop will suck vs a gamming comp for 1/2 the price.

Problem is that at the moment i live at home (i'm a student) and if i'm going to buy a desktop i will have to use wireless to access the internet. Not so stabel for gaming. With a laptop i could just sit at the kitchen table with an extra ethernet cable.

get a long cable then :P
If you do get a laptop get one with a dedicated graphics card. my dual core i5 with 4gb of ram stuggles to run AOEO, crashes alot and get hot fast while on a table. in £ you be looking at 700+ not sure about the euro.

I have money, a well paying job during the vacation and no gf at the moment.

what about Alienware M11x? i can buy it in belgium starting at € 749. (less then 700 pounds i think).

http://www.alienware.com/Landings/laptops.aspx

Why do i have a feeling americans have to pay more for their hardware  ;D.

alianware are as well  ::) , you are looking at M14x if you realy want to get one, the M11 only has 2gb ram, today 4gb is the way to go. could get away with a M15x. best to see what someone from over the river has to say.

Requirements for you:
Ii5, i7 Intel 2nd Generation CPU (Sandy Bridge)
4 GB RAM
GT540M Graphics Card (it comes with 1024 MB or 2048 MB dedicated RAM)

The Alienware x14x is so much more expensive because of the better graphics and Quadcore CPU instrad of Dual Core

With those requirements above you should easily get a laptop within budget for AOE3 and SC2
