Music is always an important ingredient 2 enhance both intensity and atmosphere. This is true in movies as it is in games.
Id like 2 know how many of u use ingame music whilst u game.

Re: Ingame music
I have 2 admit that in both games, although so very different, the ingame music is exceptionally good. however, I have it OFF in both games just 2 b able 2 hear the "important" stuff a little bit better.

Re: Ingame music
I've got the sc2 music off, because somehow if you are running skype the sounds seems to get really quite so I found the music really really disturbing ( also I skype more often on sc2 then on Aoe).
On AoE3 its on because it brings back a lot of memories. I've been playing aoe since I was 8 or sth, and have been playing AoE3 since my 10th. So I basically played it in a very diverse period of my life, which makes it bring back a lot of memories to me.
Also I must say I like the AoE music slightly better

Generally I have it on. But sometimes I use a youtube playlist in the background as a substitute.

Re: Ingame music
I always have the music on in both games, sometimes I will turn it off in favor of itunes (or the ping noise as I headshot someone in COD )
The terran music in SC2 is very cool I think and sets the mood when I log on to play my first game. I also have a nolstagic spot for the AOE music like Jerom
