As a side note, how do you stop a protoss cannon rush as protoss?? pull probes from mirenal line to take down first pylon/probe? what if you fail.....

try to kill the pylons asap with probes and ofc make a fast zealot.

You can also block that by building own cannons (at least in teamgames).
