Group 2: Etrips vs Destructor

Post by etrips888 »

GGs

Game 1:
My azzie against his ports.
He gets first pick of map, and chooses GP. I start out boomy, trying to get an eco going a bit, and gather some gold in case I need to follow him into fortress soon. But I see a lot of musks and some huss, so I decide to just go mace/puma. I get a decent mass going, and then start to push. Been liking pumas a lot lately.

Game 2:
My Otto vs His Japan
I go with my fav map sonora and start out with TP's. He starts with a nice yumi mass, and I go with abus and then some jans. We clash a bit inside his base, but I get stagecoach and start getting some resources coming in, and abus save the day.

How can you love sonora!!!

Also Destructor deserved to lose just because he picked gp, most played map ever :P

Regarding pumas, pumas haven't really ever taken the love they deserve. They've the same price in villager seconds as warclubs but they have far better stats.

I just like it because it usually plays out well to aggressive civs. With the resources being so scarce, you really have to fight for map control, which I think fits well for when I play aztec and otto for example. Could just be from my experience tho

I agree with your perspective, I just find the lag obnoxious ^^ I always had a lot of success in sonora when using rushing civs / strats.

I like Sonora because it is one of the few maps that don't annoy me ( somehow most other maps annoy me, don't know why)

anyway could you choose a map like texas ?
