'Well I was watching this and it didn't really excite me but only because I never played this game or really looked into it.. though I have seen a vod of an insanely fast player .. actually I think someone posted a link on our site some time ago..

If I wanted to try this game would I have to buy it, since I hear it is very old or so it seems ? an I'm curious on the learning curve, is it more complex then AoE ?

starcraft is an 11 year old game. during those 11 years it has been patched to the point of perfection. nothing in it is imbalanced or OP, same as maps. it is a fun game if you don't mind sci fi a bit. the story line plot sort of like aliens vs. predator vs. starship troopers hahaha but the gameplay is very tight which is why it is the greatest RTS of all time.
