N3O Age Of Empires and Starcraft 2 Clan

Hi guys
These are some links from an AoE expert DM clan I was in many moons ago (CTW). Brings back alot of memories - pulling all nighters, burning supper numerous times all the clan vs. clan battles. Fun Times

i remember my very first time online in aoe1 , i was such a noob that i thought the pop limit was set @ 50 ( from the campaigns ) that when i did a game online i had stopped massing @ 10 vills and 40 axemen just to get pummeled by 100 war elephants LOL

Dan u mentioned 2 things which were buried deep in that small brain of mine. Stone, ie a fourth resource, makes sense 2 be required for buildings. In fact I believe that that 4th resource is missing in AoEIII and hope it comes back into play in future games of this amazing franchise.

The other thing was the 50 pop cap. Man, I can so remember having to change the reg keys in order to change that pop cap to 200 2 play my single player skirmishes.

Truly those were they days. Can any of u imagine not being able 2 que vills or military units. That forced both hands on the keyboard multiple times, ex. Ctrl-B with ur left hand and slapping the the T-key in order to make a unit from a barax. The trick is ud have like 6-10 baracks built side by side so ud use that keyboard command 6-10 times. Ud end up really pounding that poor keyboard :/

Was by FAR my favourite custom scenario. I just rocked at that game. Holly can u remember wishing ud end up with Janniseries while the game loaded?

BTW that reminds me, wouldnt it b cool 2 have that random civ generator built into the game again? I sure miss it

i missed these old days, no not because i was too young or so but because i didn't have internet till late 2004. i played the single player campaigns and skirmishes though, which was fun nontheless.

we should really do a aoe1 skirmish via direct ip or hamachi sometime

I remember massing skirmishers when they actually threw spears and also massing scorpions.. which didnt work too good when an onager aproached o_O
