This is Brit-French versus German-French. Hussar-lbow/pike/musket versus Uhlan-xbow/pike

Very fun game that we clearly won on the battlefield and not in the eco. They had some excellent raids on us - one killed maybe 7 of my vils at about the 8-9 minute mark.

Could be a good watch for what some passable micro and decent teamwork can do for you. We won a couple of battles handily that we probably had no business winning at all.

Etrips was the man with his uber-cav management.

uber cav management being running into battles with uhlans that I shouldn't have haha...really didn't expect them to beat up on my hussars so easily =(

Sounds like a fun watch. I'll check it out tonight with my good Dutch friend Amstel close at hand.

As far as Hussar v. Uhlan.... you need to be careful. Hussars have 320 HP, but uhlans' attack will really do a number on them unless you have a decent enough mass. Early game, they will generally have several more uhlans than you'll have hussars, and that's the rub (enter HI teammate).

i have to agree with kaiser . just yesterday we did a clan game where my french huss spam was slaughtered by hydro's uhlan horde.

early game uhlan>huss

mid game uhlan/huss is managable

late game uhlan<hussar ( if civ has 3 cards and royal gaurd huss )
