haha OP title - gg wp. was a very good watch.on nwt and yukon all i can say is NOOTKA!!!!!! seriously , if you haven't witnessed the power of the nootka chief tech i suggest doing a comp stomp just to see it. complements a bow spam perfectly as well ( throw a nootka chief in with ur bows and watch what happens to enemy cav ;)

nootka war chief tech age 2 ( 200 wood 200 gold)

nootka chief unit ( made from explorer / 200 food 100 wood )

stats : 400 HP , 40 range resist armor , 24 melee damage x2 vs CAV with area of 4 , native warrior cards and trade post native upgrades affect nootka chief as well

i agree with drew , NWT is a good 1v1 map and i wish more ppl played on it , but in team games i wouldn't recomend it due to sparser hunts and clustered team towns

It was a good game. I was getting tired in the end (it was our 5th game) but I believed I could win through most of the game.

nice VOD, thoroughly enjoyed it. After the bit of music I was worried I was going to not get the great drew commentary along with the game, but I was pleasantly surprised.

And I agree about the map being underused, I completely forgot about it but used to love playing on it back when it was in the usual map rotation.

Keep the recs and VODs coming!

i'm glad to see you do that op "sacrifice one unit and escape thing"
or the pikes which were sieging your tp and oyu just ignored them and went in, i'd done the same thing ;)

imperssive mass of wws there sporting, i wouldn't anticipate them really :-P

i also like the map northwest territories, i always suggest it in clan games but we rarely play on it :(

Your daughter watched the game at 11 PM, not 7PM... is that OK :D

Good to see the old NWT map in action again. I join the others in saying I miss that map. Nice hunts, potential for water lamage, distant shore with even more resources, trade post, lots of trees, wallable crossings... what a shame we don't see it more often.

GG guys. I sympathize with you, Sporting. Playing Drew's Ottos is a daunting proposition. You don't know from whence the next 2 hussars will suddenly appear from behind a pine tree, and just when you thought your pikes chased away the third hussar group, 5 spahis come in and kill all your food villagers. I feel your pain... I've been there 8)

Xbow defense is usually a decent way to play the Ottos, although I almost always have a "fortress agenda" against them. Normally I start with some xbows to parry any janny harassment, then make my way up to Age 3 for skirms (so much better against jans) and veteran uhlans (hallo, abus). Of course, that is much easier said than done, and when the Otto has water, as here, you need to be more flexible. I know this is 20/20 hindsight, but an earlier switch to xbow/uhlan in colonial would have really been a problem for Drew's army at several points. Whenever I see abus in action, I seriously question why I should ever build HI.

Nice game, guys.

Nice VOD as always. I miss NWT in standard maps, too :/
