N3O Age Of Empires and Starcraft 2 Clan

I've been having fun playing monopoly online recently. It's on a website that hosts a bunch of board games and card games and such like the zone used to. Anyway it has a version of monopoly that you can play against people, and it seemed like dan and warlord are already on with me, so I thought other people might be interested as well.

it depends, if you play with the original rules, then the game is very balanced indeed.
an old friend of mine forgot a monopoly strategy book at me years ago and it's really interesting, i skimmed over it

if a person gets on a street which is not bought yet, he can decide if he'll buy it or not, but if he denies, the street is on a public sale, the person who bits the most gets it

whats interesting is that they have multiple types of rules but you have to be a member to create your own rules

I personally like the original rules, but I like free parking so I would put like all the money people pay from chance cards go in there and such. And I think people hiding in jail is lame, so people should be able to still receive rent, but only say half of it

that's wrong then, if you enter the jail by just moving with your dice, then you're NOT in the jail, (that's why there is a "only as a guest" area)
only if a card tells you to, or the policeman in the 3rd corner of the gameboard you gotta go into jail(maybe some other reasons too) and wait until you get two doublets, you got 3 chances, i f you fail all, you gotta pay 1000DM (yes deutsche mark :-P ) or you pay from the beginning and don't bother hoping for doublets etc.

this "all money taken from the bank goes to free parking" is a common variation, even though the original rules don't use that

yeah I meant how in late game, when everyone has built up, people will get in jail and be able to stay in there and still collect rent, so I think there should be a deterrent for staying in there besides just 50 dollars...

Monopoly is fun! It's certainly 100% luck but should that ruin it? No
I agree prison is a game winner lategame; just sit there while people are landing on your properties with hotels on them..

this monopoly is highly addictive , after everyone cleared off of ESO , warlord and I went back to pogo.com to play sum more and had sum crazy games , including one player who had 2/3s of the board and me extorting 13 million from a player in a counter offer to his original 4 million :-P
