Summer music festivals!

So most people go to music festivals on summer. I'm going to one this year, i'm going to see:

- Metallica
- Slipknot
- Machine Head
- Mastodon
- etc, smaller stuff

Pretty cool 50€ well spent surely!

Anyone else likes to go to this kind of stuff?

I want to go to outside lands, as its the most local festival for me
Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys and Dave Mathews Band are headlining
incubus, TV on the radio, band of horses, modest mouse, mars volta and silversun pickups will also be there. Just need to find the money..

Try Mastodon Rascal, they are a lot better. I'm not a fan of metal either but sometimes those guys can really play.

I go once time a year to a big fest and probably some smaller fests to.

This year im going Rockwerchter, that is Prodigy, Oasis, PLacebo, Dave Matthews, Lily Allen, Coldplay, Killers, Bloc Party, 2many DJ's, Kings Of Leon, Nick Cave, Franz Ferdinand, LImpp Bizkit, Metallica, Kaizer Chiefs, Mastodon,mars volta... on 4 days.

We've got pukkelpop here to, that's more for indie bands, it's got 5 stages playing music at the same time.

Just need to find the money..[/quote] sounds like fun! anything with beastie boys will be OP , weird hearing them and pearl jam in same tour tho :? ozzfest is my preferred hotspot but over the years the quality of it has been in a downward spiral. for end o summer here in ohio, ocktoberfest on lake erie is the way to go! great local bands + alcohol+food+ laser light shows from cedar point make the the event a must!

skipknot have a few ok songs , not many tho , and no way near the quality and level of metallica imho.

for people that like that form of industrial-thrash metal check out mudvayne and static x , similiar sound but way wwaayy wwwaaayyyyy better

Blur, snow patrol, the script, lilly allen, kings of leon, block party, the killers, razor light, paolo nutini to name a few. not to mention deadmau5 and the crookers.

that sounds like a pretty good lineup. Ive seen some of those bands before, like bloc party, the killers and snow patrol and they all put on a great show

If I was in the UK, I would definitely be going to the leeds festival. The lineup just looks so good!
