Look at my sig and see how much I care about ELOrating shutting down. I do care a little, but I don't use because it tells me I am inactive despite the fact I play tons of UNRATED games.

I frequent ELO a lot and it's not because I'm a rating *****, it's because it's damn useful.
See what troops top players use in 1v1s, see who you've beaten and how good they really are.

Sporting always has been a dreamboat.
ELO is usefull to check clans etc. Or some bad behaviour of (former) members.

I can tell you, there's nothing hot women like better than talking about hussar FFs supported by market upgrades and a 700 wood shipment (no pun intended). When I mention falcs, they get all woozy.
