Basically it is a plug for this online cricket management game. http://www.battrick.org You don't need to understand cricket (although a basic knowledge does help) and it is pretty addictive. I have been doing it for pretty much a year and log on multiple times a day. Would be good to see a few N3O members over there (especially you Americans ) I'm in South Africa btw so if you decide to register my username is TheBaker.

I think I will try it out. I have been addicted to these online sim games like Cyber Nations and Trukz. I also mess around on NationStates so I think this one you talk about highlander might be fun.

You see, that is EXACTLY the problem I have. "We" already have a sport over here called that. Even though 98% of the game over here has nothing to do with your foot, they call it that. If we could call American Football, Americanized Rugby I might have a better chance of educating the public over here about the beautiful game.

I think its just too slow paced compared to the kinds of sports that most Americans go crazy over, like american football.
But then again, baseball can be seen as a slow sport too so i have no idea lol

I love soccer myself tho

Theres also the stigma that goes with real football in America and the rivalry with American football, real football ftw.

american football feels like rugby with more protective clothes for the players...

Ok, now you've ruined it! My plot here was to distract everyone from battrwhatever and get everyone focused on my sport, which would eventually lead to a beer discussion.

Cricket is meh!
Most fun sports are racketsports IMO, always involving whilst cricket you get a whole load of standing around.
Even in football you can go way too long without touching a ball.
Also, 1v1 games are more competetive
