Things i disklike

Post by mrsniffler »

1. My brother. ( i refuse to be freinds with him for a good 100 years )

2. Little kids singing popular songs and ruining them

3. French class/ french teacher

4. Annoying people that keep talking to me/ regardless if i like it or not....
Yes there are people like that...

I once had a sped kid follow me for 30 min asking me to write a page of information for a tech class..

like wth? he just didnt know when to stop

5. Rap ( people that talk quickly and wear 20 pounds of jewlery )

how hard is it to talk quickly without rhyming or sending a message?

My Lack Of Money.

Needing Money, But not having it.

Getting money, Then spending it on beer.

Taxi's costing £15 =/

Hangovers.

Going Camping (Tenting) Without a tent or a sleeping bag.

walking around tescos in the early hours of the morning being told to be quiet as i am singing 'Mr Brightside' too loud.

arguing with a security guard, about my right to sit in a wheelchair as i gave a disabled person my space on a bus =/ (there was no person needing the chair at said time @ 4am)

and generally making a fool out of myself

This better not be some kind of derogatary name for someone with a mental handicap of any kind

And you'd be surprised actually how hard it is to talk as fast as a rapper would, and then most raps rhyme anyway, listen to most eminem he rhymes(not the quickest rapper) but he always has a rhyme going, and listen to a proper rapper and try saying what they at the speed they say it recording it as clear as they would be, its bloody hard work believe me

Things I Dislike:
After a clubbing session(like tonight) coming out going getting a chicken burger and when on the screen it says £3.49 and they charge me £3.50, its like wheres my penny you cheating B******s

Leaving a club at least 20 mins before it closes altogether

Prices of taxis nowadays

Working at all the sociable/insociable hours(depending on how you want to look at it) and not being able to play AOE with the europeans very often

Never having any money :(

My car when its having problems :(

The slowness(yes I just made up the word) of my PC!

Once again, never having any money! :( :( I very much dislike this! Enough to mention it twice

Mrsniffler. For the record I take offense to your post. I am a special ed teacher and if you had any idea of the challenges these children face on a day to day basis you would think differently. I'm not suprised by your post as your lack of maturity shows in other posts (as well as the nature of your character). Nobody wakes up one day and says "I think I would like to have a disability" and certainly no parent chooses for their child to have a disability. Show some respect. If you took a moment to compare yourself to a person with a disability you would probably realize that you are more the same, than you are different. Do you want friends? Yes, and so do they. Do you have hobbies and teams you cheer for? Yes, and so do they. Do they like to be judged, made fun of, and ridiculed? No, and niether do you. So whats the difference? The difference is that they have additional challenges on top of what you already face in day to day life. And if you think a 'regular' person can't follow you around for an hour too, then think again.

+1 to what drew said. special needs kids are nothing to laugh about or to use as punchlines for a joke. this topic hits home to me for i have a cousin who is autistic so i personally detest any form of rediculement towards the disabled. if ''sped'' meant something totally different and benign then ok no problem but if it wasn't then please don't use it in any derogatory manner

+1. I spend 3 years in a speach and launage unit . Do you know how anoying it was not being able to talk? When you try and talk it come out just as noise ? Also 1 in 10 people are dyslectic. Im dyslectic and when i write it pritty pointless for me to try and read. It full of mistakes and not much of it is readable. If i spell words 4+letters long 60% chance it is done wrong. For this reason i take my laptop to school just so i can spell and be able to read my work.

In exams I get a computer and 15-25% more time.Only 3people in my year get a computer the others have scribes or transcrips with the extra time.

EDIT: Also my mum works in a school for people aged 18-25 with people with who are autistic(if I read that right). They have 8 people at the school who live there. The school has over 50 staff members as one person needs 4 members of staff to them.

My little brother is a special ed kid. I dislike him having to spend 6 hours to finish his 8th grade homework at night. I dislike the fact that people don't take the time to listen to him, since it takes him a long time to phrase an intelligible sentence. I dislike the fact that some kids make jokes at him because he isn't as smart as them

What I do like is the fact that he never gives up. He never complains about being slow or spending his whole evening finishing school work. As with most special ed people, he is one of the kindest, most caring people you will ever meet.

Mrsniffler, life is too short to dwell on what you don't like. Instead try to find the positive in every situation. Lastly, I give a lot of credit to 36Drew for the patience and dedication it requires to teach a class of special ed youngsters.

Nicely put Vint, I share your respect for those with of us with disabilities, and for those (Adam & yourself) that take the extra time and patience in assisting them. :D
