Brits can go Hussar/Muskets vs a Aztec Rush. Should work actually. Get Age Up Tower and play it defensively. CM can come in handy. And then Muskets/MM -> Pumas /Jags and Hussars do the rest. And raid raid raid.

That's it in theory. In practice some other things play a role. Treasures, Hunts etc.

I am hesitant to use any HI against the Aztecs. They die so fast to maces it's pathetic. I agree that hussars should work in theory, but a couple SKs can really ruin your day. You need to micro those guys down ASAP.

you really shoudln't be afraid of using HI vs fp 1.1 maces, who only got 1,75x against HI ;-)

Yeah, but 1 million x 1.75 = a whole lotta anti-HI powa

mace still do more damage vs. heavy inf. then crossbows do , dont forget the faster ROF plays into it , mace are far cheaper and massable then heavy. inf.

The musketeers shouldn't do the countering part vs Mace. You just need them vs Pumas/Jags (+MM). Then go into melee and bring in the Hussars.

When i play germans i normally start with a stable and add some xbows.

I think musk/huss would work just fine. That's what I use when I'm french against aztecs and as long as you can get rid of those 6 Puma/2 SK, the hussars will eat the rest. It's just a matter of micro (easier said than done of course :p).

French are better against Aztec because their vils have 40% RR, which is essential against maces.

upgraded war dogs with the age 1 shipment might be able to beat the mace. and ports 2 tc's + mm + walling up + ff + organ guns might beat the aztecs.
