which civ has the best FF and why?

Let's assume you're in a match-up where FF is a realistic option.
(so no need to say Sporting's Iro will toast you before reaching III)

first ports, then spain, then sioux .. sioux FF pwns cause you can make a quick jump to indy afterwards.. >:] & dogsoldier spam > all

ports ff / fi is veryy safe, and once you get to fortress you can wreck your opponent with organs/cassa and goons

spain ff is nice cause the wardogs+falcs+lancer+rod = win

I voted Dutch, but FF's haven't been viable since I've been playing, lol :-P

French, largely because it's the only one I know how to do.

well for me the 4 bank ff by the dutch is always a must. no need to worry about mines u can have all vills on food (id put 4vills on wood)
ur banks have a huge hp so if placed right ur vill can pretty much stay out of harms way
oh and the dutch can have a huge army.

I would have to say ports with the organs is the best. Once you get organs all you have to do is surround organ with muskets and then it is very hard to stop you. Organs blow away almost all the infantry and whatever is left the muskets pick off. The muskets will crush cany calvary charge. and finally if the enemy makes a lot of artillery 3 organs can take out 3 really close cannons in 1 round of fire while most other artillery needs to have 3 cannons to take out 1 of yours.
Though The next best ff I would have to say would be aztecs. With the fire pit you can get max 99 very fast. Also with the jaguar prowl knights stealth they can easily pop up right next to an enemies army and win even if the army is mostly cannons and skirms. Also if the enemy does go to only skirms and cannons which is basically the only way to stop all the jaguars from poping up and crushing your army you could just have the jaguars pop up and draw enemy fire as your cyote runners run in and just maul the enemy army.

but ports got best/safest FF out the lot imo

i voted for spain, since it's classic and fast plus i like the unit combos that come with it.
2nd would be otto ff for me, just spahi or 2 falcs first guarded by jannies.
dutch 3 bank ff is very cool too, nice defenses because of banks and decent fortress age time with 3 banks.

ports ff is pretty much obligatory, since they are ewak in colonial and get extra TCs every age, but i just don't "like" that civ(insert hate here if you want)

and no, it's not because they are the weakest civ, even when i first bought the game and did not know anything about the civ, i didn't like ports

Spain FFs for 5 hussars, 4 lancers, 2 falcs, skirm spam and some dogs. OP!

German FF. I love Uhlan shipments and Mercs.

china ff, almost every unit shipment in age 3 is 10 units or more, access to thier 2nd vill spawn card, cheapest artilery in game, repelling volley is a MUST for china( arquebusiers do 20x3 vs heavy inf with this card ), and lets not forget iron troops :twisted:

German FF packs a serious punch, age III shipments are sick

German FF is pretty good but those 9 uhlan and 8 uhlan cards die way too fast.
