Good stratagies for the Portuguese

Now it's no secret that I play Portugal and i'm wondering what some good strats are for them. If i'm playing someone who's army is going to be heavy LI based, I just fast fortress. If i'm on water, I do a triple dock fish boom and take the sea at all costs. If i'm lazy I just stay in age 2 and xbow spam. That's my normal team game strat but I can also pull off the musket spam. What do you think are some good portuguese strats?

Sporting's FI is by far the coolest strat, there are a fec recs of it

What's amazing about Sporting FI is that you are industrial at like 11:00 minutes with 40-45 villager eco. o_O
We mirrored with my Otto FI and I couldn't compete since he has such a strong eco.

I guess I could try out the FI now is the only competative strat with Portugal FF or the FI on land that is. Can you stay colonial and win with an xbow spam?

Well you can win but if you want to do that you should play Germans not Ports
What you're saying is like saying you're gonna FF with Brits, it just doesn't work well and even if it does other civs do it better :p

Port FI rocks. Sporting does it superbly, and so does our Conscript-in-Major's-clothing: AmericanCaesar! It's all about resource crates and CM, so I hear. But I am no authority on Ports... "cual es suo ordem" is all I know, which you'll hear repeated if you ever catch me on vent

So what's an OP Portuguese strategy? I mean the FI but what's the build order?

i STILL say eco theory then 700 food 700 wood is way more op than FI.
