Killer 3v3 Combos

I like 3v3s more than 2v2s. Why? Well, mostly because each player can perform a relatively simple rock, paper or scissor role and--if done in coordination--can handle virtually anything the other side throws at them.
For a long time, I've wanted to create something called "The Northern European Alliance," or "The Protestants' Guild" featuring this 3v3 combo: Germans, British and Dutch. Germans would go uhlan, British would go musket and Dutch would go skirmishers. It gives me chills just thinking about it. When you see me online, give me a shout and maybe we can own one together.
I have also discovered in our clan games that double ranged infantry plus anti-cav cover is a powerful combo. For example, double Longbow covered by doppelsoldners or mass pikes (or early dragoons) is formidable. Or--featuring the Protestants' Guild--Longbow, Skirmisher, Doppelsoldner. Some people get leery when no one has cav, but I've found that well-coordinated infantry can get the job done against cav, for less cost. The key is to keep some guards at home so your cav opponent doesn't mess up your econ! :-P
Of course, the abus gun totally reverses the scales and you need to adapt quickly to make sure you can cope with them. On the other hand, you could always allow the Ottos into your 3v3 combo, in which case it ceases to be the Protestant Guild and becomes the Partnership Between Christianity and Islam or the Central Powers (ie, Germany and Turkey)
Basically I just get excited after playing our clan games. It is always so fun just to try out different combos without worrying about rank and flamers
