When it comes to horror, I love zombie movies. The original Dawn of the Dead (1978) is a classic, though the remake wasn't bad either. I like movies that show apocalyptic stuff happening. Makes you wonder how people would act if the world as they know it totally changed on them.

For pure gore, Hostel was pretty good. Tarantino had a hand in that one.
Saw as a terror movie sucks, there's no suspense at all you just see people suffering for their lives and then dying due to weird experiments over and over again :p I liked The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the last Hannibal - Rising was pretty cool too.

Last Batman rocked as well.
My hometown is mentioned in that movie :)

Heat is an outstanding movie. Michael Mann is a great director; nuff said about Pacino and De Niro on the same screen.

Last of the Mohicans is another great Michael Mann movie, set during AOE 3 times with Iros and all.

Right I've seen enough, thats 3 consecutive threads I've rad you have swore, please keep postings clean, we try to keep the swear words down by using the filter, just calm the posts you are posting down, its not big and its not clever to be honest, yes people swear but 3 posts consecutively? There is no need for it, so iI would ask agaibn, please keep the swearing down.

You could have said;
'You know what the worst movie I've ever seen?'
and;
'it truly is terrible, the worst movie I've seen...ever!'

Still gets the point you hate the film, without the language!

A bit more effort put into grammar and punctuation and whatnot might be nice.
I like that the forum posts are generally well written and come across like a discussion rather than a playground shouting contest.

A favorite of mine that others haven't mentioned is Forest Gump. I've seen that movie so many times over the past few months and it just doesn't get old. A great story with some class music in it and some tear jerking moments.

Equilbrium is another cool movie. Like Kaiser I like all post apocalyptic/zombie movies. Theres something about the end of society and law and order and seeing how people would act and survive having the true freedom to do what they want that appeals to me.

Favorite zombie / post-apocalypse movies:

Army of Darkness
Shaun of the Dead

But if they are comedies, maybe they don't count... :D

And Forrest Gump: almost made my list, but I watched it recently and the replay wasn't nearly as profound as my hazy memories. Some movies shouldn't be rewatched I suppose. The music still rocks. Wedding Singer also awesome for the soundtrack (but that movie is pretty blah otherwise IMHO).

Now that we're in full disclosure, "The Country Bears" is pretty good, half because of the surprise decency factor, half because of Christopher Walken, and half from the John Hiatt sound track (Yogi Berra alert :D) It takes about 3 viewings to get even a majority of the one-liners, which should be an academy award category.

YES! I was waiting for someone to mention that, greatest film ever!
Just the one-liners that come from that films are great!

Forrest Gump: Lieutenant Dan, what are you doing here?
Lieutenant Daniel Taylor: I'm here to try out my sea legs.
Forrest Gump: But you ain't got no legs, Lieutenant Dan

Bubba: Have you ever been on a real shrimp boat?
Forrest Gump: No, but I've been on a real big boat.

Classic!
