RTSL N3O vs DN

Post by huGGy »

Both games here. Someone should post this on the RTS Website as well (Strokey, Dan, Adder!?).

We played Japan (Caesár), Ottos (Sporting) and Russia (me) in both games.

HF watching!

Those were some entertaining games to watch. Nice elements on all games. Out-micro'ed and killed 'em. Great Job!

games were a bit boring to watch though, 10 min of massing with no raiding or even scouting opposing combo's.
The battles were great, you def out-microed them !

We played it defensively, cause you can't really make early pressure with Abus / Ashis/ Cossacks. We chose Indochina because it's easy to defend vs raidings :).

Micro was good. They couldn't touch Sportings Abus while he humiliated their Longbows, Yumis and Strelets.

Brillian combo, guys! There was no way they could break the ashi/abus mix. Jeez, those abus are lethal; light inf falls almost as quick as heavy inf. And with ashi protection as good as Caesar's there was no way any cav was getting through. Nice pressure with cossacks, too, Huggy! Did you see those bows and strels go down? It looked like Lisbon barely lost any troops in either battle.

Can anything beat protected abus masses? I don't think so, especially with terrific micro like here. Congrats, guys. And Lisbon, I gotta match your Ottos with British upped muskets. That would be awesome!

NaturePhoenix used abus vs us in the first game, I think he pwned 90% of our units with no losses... abus rox in the right hands
Nice job guys . DN made little aint cav .
I noticed this, too. I said to myself: "Why are they going double LI?" Then I remembered that abus does at least 60 damage to HI and almost as much to ranged cav--building muskets with abus around is a death sentence for them. I think the only thing they could have done was go almost all-cav, and at the beginning of a game, that rarely seems like the smart thing to do 8)

it this combo (otto-rus-j@p), the anti-cav is really weak, Japan has to build those clubmen (which caesar did) but their amount is limited.
It's rather obvious otto will go abus and russia has no great anti-cav
they could have gone double cav at least and raid or scout better
