Just wrap it in a damp towel and it should go away. It's no big deal. Now, if your hand was falling off, wrap that in a damp towel and tape it back on.

Are there blisters? If so go to an emergency room. Otherwise the damp towel is just fine. Also, since it's 12 hour later (almost) then if it still hurts you really should see an MD.

Attention all Noobs!
Scalding is cured by hidrating the wounded area. This is NOT acomplished via soaking or damp towels!!! that will actually dehidrate the skin even more. Try staying in the pool or bathtub for over and hour. Look at ur skin then. Its totally meshed up. Skin is hidrated by fatty creams. Skin, like so many other body structures require a "vehicle" to "carry" the moisture through the epidermis. This is why we use facial cream. Duh
Out
PS obviously for imediate pain relief u want 2 apply COLD!(like cold water, ice etc) its the cold, not water, that will lower and often even prevent inflamation.
