try to herd better
dont waste time siege a TC with strelets, run around to find vils/units
mix in more musks (or cosacks), you made only 1 batch in the first 11 min
try building more vils as well... stuck on 17 is risky

you did well vs those naginatas

I agree with Chaos, never try killing a t/c with Strelets - in fact keep them out of t/c range at all times as garrisoned settlers can 1 shot a strelet.

Just circle their base and then switch to muskets for siege and anti-cav and then drop a stable yourself. Use 5 cossacks to hunt map for hiding settlers on wood/gold. Keep your explorer moving in and out of their base as well to check on things.

While aging with 17 settlers you should be able to collect enough food for 270 settlers and 370 strelets to be built as soon as on aging.

OK ... just a suggestion. Garrisoned villagers don't really help them, as long as you can win that first battle and surround their base you can pick off shrines at your leisure!

Unless against a nation with a fast rush (Iro, Otto etc) then you can generally risk the 17 settler route as this will allow you to collect enough resources during age up for constant military build.

But hey, you're better than me anyway!

14 vils is a must in most cases if you wanna apply any sort of pressure early on.
