N3O Age Of Empires and Starcraft 2 Clan

Of course they're good, just said that sometimes there are better games out there but Blizzard still owns. Afaik Warcraft 3 always had more players than age of series even tho age of empires own.

Don't forget Blizzard was one of the first Game Manufacturer to discount a game really early and flood the market with there boxes, Sam Club had Warcraft, and Warcraft 2 on the cheap forever. They also had a good game others may have tried similar marketing with a less than polished game.

I think they made a FPS out of a Starcraft character too.
Most there games are based losely on Warhammer and Warhammer 40k universe!

Only Warcraft is really based (loosely is too forgiving; it's VERY close) on Warhammer.

Starcraft is fairly unique, although there are arguments to be made that it is somewhat like Warhammer 40k.

As for Diablo...it's their most original franchise, though obviously like any Blizzard game it has a solid foundation of archetypes and cliches.


They were going to make an FPS based on a SC character (SC: Ghost) but the game was cancelled since it was going to be for Xbox but fell too far behind in production.

Anyway....

DIABLO 3 WAS ANNOUNCED!

I'm so excited. I think I'm more excited for Diablo 3 than I am for Starcraft 2. And I'm even more excited that I can actually say that sentence without being insane.

the movie trailer is very nice, but the gameplay is absolutely not my thing... running around hacking and slashing on thausands of demons etc...

am i the only one here whos only rts is aoe?

Rts stands for real time strategy, there should be a lot of people whose only rts is aoe, me included

for me, the only rts for the last 5 years has been AOE3.
Before that I played diablo.
Before that starcraft

well i did enjoy empire Earth a lot, but i dunno if it had online multiplayer
But going through 15 ages was OP, starting as clubbin cave man and ending with flying mech marriors OP OP OP

I've tried other RTS, AOE3 is still my favorite....but then again I never put in the amount of time with the others as I did AOE3.

aoe3 is still my favorite rts by far, and i think its one of those series where u just gotta sit down and play it for a while before u like it, which is why we have a low populations, where as with starcraft i just went in and was in a couple games with other people doing decent within minutes.

imo blizzard created a name for itself with its first gen games, sc, diablo, wc and then from there built a very very strong backing to become the giant to produce WoW, when wow was released they put $150 million to improving the game...thats why they are kings right now, because they have the capitol to contribute to games like that..

i cant wait for diablo 3, i played it before WoW and only stopped because of all the hackers
