10 min port fi vs dutch brigadier

Well as he was dutch I figured he'd leave ma alone for a while. For some reason he thought that by going industrial he could compete against my ports, tsc tsc.

I went industrial first and he as he saw I was industrial he went industrial age too.

Interesting ... will watch soon. I tried this as Ports v Otto who followed me up to industrial, but couldn't mass enough goons to deal with spahi/GB.

The thing with Otto's FI is that it's harder to turtle/boom until industrial. Jani/gb is good but no where near 20 range goon/hc. And elmetis do the killing blow.

I don't think so. If you don't setup facs as otto then your strength won't last long. It doesn't give you things to sacrifice for time either, with Ports you can win even after losing one two tcs. Jans aren't a good artillery protector as well.

the thing with a port fi is that you can rush, but as your planning to do an FI, whatever is being thrown at you sub 10mins, a TC or 18 minutemen could easily deal with it haha

Very good play though sporting, you are the only person i know to successfully pull that off

Yes, but acutally: If the dutch player got some culvs (2 would have been enough) into the first battle, he might have won this.

Well that's understandable because since I arrive at 6:30 to fortress he could have thought that I would have attacked in fortress.

Well yes, but you mustn't forget that the surprise is part of the strat :p His mistake was going industrial age. Had he falc spammed in fortress age with a few ruyters and culvs and I'd be in trouble

no way CM is good in that situation. What kind of attack could you possibly do, maybe raid with 5 mams but it's obvious you cant have enough eco for rax/houses and decent military production.
Dutch can also make some extra envoys and scout ...

Sporting, you're going to tempt me back into trying Ports. Oh well, I need to come up with something to extend my OP 7-game losing streak. If I keep playing French, I might win a game just accidentally.
