Don't know if that was a good choice. We'll see in the 1/4 finals.
Well we gotta give them a rest when we can, so that no one gets injured and such. It was also good to confirm that our substitutes are worthless, most of them screwed up.

Now let's see if Austria doesn't screw Germany's plans :P

p.s. wohoo 1000'th post! :D

Yeah can't believe that comeback and to think I woulda missed it If I kept watching the Portugal game. Seems like the ottos pulled off a church FI and pulled those 3 great bombards out just in time to win! :D

About Port/Swiss the referee took away a fair goal and a penalty but that's ok, doesn't matter now.

I saw it too and lol, the Czech probably won the ''most pissed off'' contest haha

I got spoiled yesterday. Father's Day gave me rights to the TV most of the day. So, I got to choose between the Turkey/Czech game and the Port/Swiss game. I picked the former over the latter and was rewarded with a great game, though I thought Turkey played dirty a lot of the game (evidenced by 4 yellows and a red).

Immediately following that was a WC 2010 qualifier between US and Barbados and it was live. 8-0 US victory almost seemed too easy as we scored in the first minute of play. At one point the commentators actually said "well, all you can really say about Barbados is that yesterday they were competitive against themselves" where they were speaking about the previous day's practice...

Too bad I can't watch the Germany-Austria game today live :(

hehe... Switzerland beat Portugal... hehe...

Well, as far as I heard, the referee of the opening game was biased against Switzerland. They deserved a win. Too bad they didn't make it farther.

Portugal only used 3 players from the main team, rest were subs :p And the referee nulled a fair goal to Portugal and took away at least one penalty, so I don't understand how the referee could be biased against Switzerland ^^

Poor French, outplayed by Italy. This year French team is just weak comparing with past years, so many known players missing...

Yet I think the Dutch are being overrated. It sucks that their next target is either Russia or Sweden which aren't that much of a competition for Holland :\
But Spain will own Italy

Italy will beat Spain. Italy always starts very slow into a tournament and with some luck and some penalties they reach the finals. Holland is OP so far. Plus there are 3 guys from Hamburg in the starting lineup :].

Btw: Frings will miss the game vs Portugal :/. One (or more) rib(s) is (are) broken.
