National Unity - OP Card?

I'm thinking of trying out a semi-ff followed by playing "national unity" in fortress, when my initial rush fails and opponent is well camped in. For those of you who don't know, this card reduces the cost on certain merc shipments from 1000 gold to 250 gold.

With 2 trading posts you can then spam the following for 250 gold each:

5 mantlet + 6 ram
14 hawks + 500 wood
town centre + 10 villagers
9 kanya + 2 medicine men
10 forest prowlers + 2 travois
14 aenna + 2 war canoe

And you still have the 5 currs for 500 gold card!

Anyone tried this before? I will try and post a replay maybe at the week-end.

I used this when TWC was just out
You need a direct FF with a TP but since colo fights are comon now, I doubt it would still work... and if they check your deck your strat is unveiled instantly.
(market BB is also a good way to get shipments faster)

It's not OP because you take a lot of time to get those shipments (you have to get an extra one for n.u.) and because the shipments themselves aren't that hot. Personally I'm a fan of shipping AW and free wood upgrades cards asap

the shipments are really good though, and AW is useless without farm/plantation (which u wont have with a FF). I don't think the wood upgrade card is any good. If you FF it wont help you and you will need troops first and after longer colo battles you prob did some of those upgrades already.

I really like the 10 prowlers + 2 travois for 250 gold, use the travois on a plantation and a farm = 1200 wood + some good xp
