I think this year is one of the toughest to call. I'm going match-to-match.

Opening game: Poland 2 Greece 0

I agree with both of those.

i think it would already be a success to survive the group stage for them, but the opponent they would get in the quarter finals are a bit too strong for them i think :P

Without a doubt you are likely right.  However, the group play in group B could tear those teams to shreds with cards and injuries.  You just don't know what is going to happen.

If Poland can breeze to the quarters and rest several in the third game, then play a banged up Portugal or Holland, they could beat them or take them to kicks and win.  This is the Euro...

well that red card was fair i think. there was no defender around (so he couldnt just show the yellow card) and he definitly destroyed a big chance....

poland far away from quarterfinals  ;;)
nearly losing after a 1:0 lead and 1 player more on the field for a long time, not good.

Yeah.  Not only that, but they lost one of their best players for their next opponent and Russia should be in a good spot to advance with that.  Will be interesting to see what happens in the next game.

Excellent game to open the tourney.

My prediction was based purely on the home advantage, and the pressure on Greece. Poland suffered surprisingly more than I expected, perhaps they felt the pressure too much.

Next game:

Russia really don't have much, the Czech's have always had a pretty steady team in my book, not amazing but not bad either, providing they don't have any horrendous problems I expect them to be quite solid through the first stages.

Russia 0 Czech Republic  2

Well.... Russia decided to join the game.... Czech defence sucks bad, but nicely done by Russia.

Wow.... looks like I really underestimated the Russians........ they are now looking like a half decent side. Very quick on the break.....
