I usually forgo the building of cav for more inf. Is that a bad idea because I find that it isn't always the best idea.

mmmm the days of aoe2 with an army of fully upgraded monks running in and converting everything
Re: 36drews strategy tip of the day: Cav vs Cav Engagement
This strategy of outmassing is really important to understand in treaty games, especially if you are using something like goons. The more guys you can fit into one battle, and the quicker you can replace the dead ones, makes a phenominal difference.

I think you mean those Aztec monks with 95 HP...I never played AOE2 online, but those were the days.

iamgrunt was always known as mr. age of empires, he even was at WCG in 2001 or so for aoe2
and he participated of course for the two WCG in which aoe3 was played

Thanks for the tip drew. Hope to see more :-P

Re: 36drews strategy tip of the day: Cav vs Cav Engagement
Why is grunt inactive? I don't think he's bored with it because he's never bored with age of empires so there has to be something else. Do you think H2O killed him?

Hahaaha, Sporting I thought you were serious for a second. Grunt has no life, Grunt is a machine of aoe perfection.

Most of the old pros have gone inactive - NaturePhoenix included.
If I played a game as much as them, I wouldn't just stop playing. it seems weird seeing people who (used to) play for real cash just fading away like that.

Either they moved on to starcraft 2 or they are realizing there is more to life than rts games. At least we still got Flooky and the omnipotent H2O.
