I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of Aztec players next patch.

Oh joy. ><

I think you are right that there will be lots. That saidI love playing vs. aztecs. :D I'm just scared they might actually be able to sustain a real good eco and rush at the same time.

joy indeed :D

I think aztecs is the most difficult civ to play, so at mid-level, most players won't be able to get the full potential out of aztecs.

I voted Japanese. I really like them and I think they have a good economy. Unfortunately ES has doubled the rate of shrines in the new patch, which is quite OP, thus I fear that people will call it laming, using the Japanese. But who cares eh?

Aztecs aren't the most difficult civ to play. Heh.

They are certainly not the easiest, but they aren't that hard, either. They have a lot of cheap (not costly) and straight forward units.

I think it's a lot harder to use civs like India, Brits, Germany, Ports, etc.

well I totally disagree. I will not judge about india as I dont know em all that well, but aztec has so many things going on I'm convinced they are the most difficult civ.
However, it doesn't mean you cannot do a brainless rush or something like that.

In case you missed it..

I was going to add the rest of the civs but before I was able to there was a vote already, which disallowed me from making any additions/changes to the civ list.

Aztec units aren't that hard to control / micro. Their economy isn't really hard to get going / balance, either.

Like I said, their units are cheap so you don't get punished for losing them as much.

They have a strong rush which is not that hard to pull off, and they are fairly versatile -- they can do decently well on pretty much any map.

I'm not saying they are easy by any means...but there are civs that are much harder.

I don't think you really played aztecs KK... except for puma rush or BB where it's easy BO
the macro involved is huge. Brits is a joke compared to aztecs.
Their units may be cheap, but their are weak as wel, so no, you can't afford to lose em and still be OK from my experience.

with the up coming patch, the micro part will be even harder than ever

The term ''weird'' fits aztec the best. On my book ports are still harder to play and succeed with, aztecs have that easy bo rush.

I will personally stick with Japan although I am tempted to try Ports or India, to be honest I think the new most popular civs will be germans, aztecs and ports.

CHAOS, I've played Aztecs a lot and can say they're quite easy to play.

Ports, on the other hand, have such ridiculously fragile units (except mamelukes, of course), that your micro has to be ridiculous to keep them alive. I'm not quite to that level yet...
Groovy.

I've played Aztecs more than you think. I've played each civ enough to have an idea of which ones are harder and which ones are easier. Like I said...Aztecs are not the easiest, nor are they the hardest.
