Well since there are no prices nor our skill lvls are pro I dont think balance will be too much of an issue. And if we go the FFA route balance will become completely meaningless.

So I reckon whoever wants to play post just like Drew did and state whether you want 1v1 or ffa and we can go from there.

PS: Any link to any of this maphack news? or replays? didnt think maphacking would be an issue in the large tournaments :O

maphack is not an issue in the tournaments, but several people do it online. daisuki or spades come to mind, both got served and are thrown out of the community.

DHD, I really don't know who told you that information. When I look at the Battle net forums I see mostly people whine about Terran. In the only heart of the swarm tournements Terran did quite well (IEM, where Terran won, MLG where Terran got second, and GSL where mostly terrans seem to be advancing).

Blizzard wants to add a balance test map in the upcoming weeks, which will last for weeks again. the soonest you will see the first balance patch in more than a month. so screw that!

Gomezd, i have a very good idea. notice how i was always a proposer of few, big settings instead of these long weeks of scheduling etc. and the tourney losing its charme?

An FFA tourney would be nice, because a couple of people (4) would be playing one very long game which would be a bucket load of fun.
Could be 2 groups of 4 people each, 8 people on total. Both of those groups do an FFA game, the best two advance to the Semi Finals 4 man FFA game, the winner of that is the champion! or the two last men standing duke it out in a 1v1.

Sweet seems like we have enough! I think most people would prefer thie FFA idea so we will roll with that for now.

Hopefully we will hear from Huggy and the others soon and we can get this party started.

Yes, i agree that the FFA idea is refreshing and probably more fun than a 1v1 tournament.
i talked to huggy and he is busy the next while, so we can count him out.

I couldn't come around to ask Slothmeister, Zenon or Cammel yet. Wonder if they'd be in.

I looked through the FFA maps today: 3 are 4 player maps, another 3 are 8 player maps.
I crossed out the 8 player maps since we will do 4 ppl FFAs only.

This leaves us with the maps:
Fractured Glacier
Korhal City
Star Station
