basically Luukje what ur saying is that ports would have a better chance of going far in this world cup if they had won by just 1:0? Pls remember every1 Nºs are just that: numbers; and 1 can play with them all 1 wants. Fact is that morally Portugal is super strong atm and looking like a good candidate 2 pass 2 the next stage unlike every1´s national teams who have commented on this historic victory. So LOL @ u

don't underestimate portugal, they have a strong team and are capable to reach far in this tournament, especially if you see the other "big" countries play

Only in the last 2 decades has Portugal been OP so saying that 37%+ of our goals are vs NK is a little unfair considering we were good in 1966 and then sucked hard again until we got back to the real business in the european quarter finals in 1996, european semi-finals in 2000, european final in 2004 and world semi-finals in 2006. Lost in quarter finals in 2008 to OP gers that should have won the tourney vs overrated spain.

If we were doing this kind of math with teams like Brazil Germany or Italy then it would made sense since they've been on top all the time.

After this phase we're gonna play vs either Switzerland Chile or Spain and none of them is a huge colossus.
