Aztec colonial age-up politician.
Which politician do you consider best? and why :?:
I personally consider the war hut age up best, but I'd like to see what N3O's think.

for rushes 2 skull knights (let them arrive in the warhut u made during age up)
for economy(colonial) fast age up (make 2-3 more vills in discovery then you can still have same age up time as opponent)
for colonial playstyle others are useless imo

not true
the warhut wagon is underrated and saves you soo many villy seconds. saves you some seconds chopping wood, also saves you seconds on walking vills and then building the hut. true tho that 2 sk are best for direct early pressure , the wagon does tho have a more lasting early game economic gain simply because of all the VS saved. also enables you to do market+ techs much earlier as well

well for economy playstyle i suggested making more vills in discovery and aging up with fast age up, in the most times ur faster in colonial then with less vills and the warhut, and since the fast age up only takes 30 (40?) and the other age up like 1.30 u will always have 2-3 vills more, you can also send first shipment earlier then the slower age up, if u want to make ur warhut a bit forward its just so slow with the travois

dan and buschmann said it all, 2SK, the messenger and the warhut politican are the ones you wanna use for colonial, depending on the situation. :-P

I prefer the hut, but in case you want to do an unexpected rush, you can do a no vill training after colonial training pumas and getting the mace from ship and jag from BB in addition to your sk, but it's quite micro intensive cause you gotta make sure that the sk don't die in 2 secs and actually live for you to make use of their siege and cover mode (they always attract tc fire like honey).

Gotta love the warhut ageup. My personal favorite anyway. I usually place it close to the TC, allows me to get more of an eco going as I can save VS by not building a WH and not gathering as much wood as others have already said. I usually get a market up during transition and I'll get the first few upgrades and then send 3 WP and vill cards.

I tend to do the fast age up a lot and age with 16-17 vills, if I don't do that I do the war hut age up, that way I can use the wood that I gather to build some more houses, I always have a bit of a housing problem with aztecs at the start. Only time I use the skull knight age up is for the PUMA RUSH! Alas it has been a while since I used that last... need to get a clan game and use it soon.

I use the WH in 80% of my games, but i think 2 SK is a very good age up too, just not my play-style.
In fp 1.2, the WH will be even better, giving you 5 pop space.

I picked the warhut for one main reason And that is cause it is more versatile. In team games the 2 sk are just a waste of pop room and aging up very fast is better used to get up to age 3. Also if you plan on doing a full sea boom in a 1v1 age up with the warhut wagon build that and you dont need to waste 250 wood on a warhut but on more ships/ another dock.
