Hard drive

Post by joe4holly »

Got a problem with my Eee pc laptop and my 16gig SS hardive failed on me . I think it PCI-exspress mini or something. I take it I can not get My docs off it?

I get this error

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt.
\system31\config\system

and a list of other files that came up.
\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
\system31\hal.ddl
\system31\kdcom.dll
\system31\bootvid.dll
\system31\congig\system.log

I have check the BIOS and the hard drive is seen.

Laptop hard drives are crap these days. If you reinstall windows you should be able to save most of your files though. Of course try and back them up first as a precaution.
