Why hasn't anything been done about this? This should have been fixed in a vanilla patch!

Hunts should not be random

you nailed it. the maps should be fixed and things like huntscrews should have been patched long time ago.

mapscrews are the only things which worry me

Had a 3v3 recently and after some scouting we found out that of 12 mines, there were 9 on the enemies side. we just had starting mines.
Map was great lakes.

I like maps with a bit of random in it, but it should be fair all the time.

yeah the maps on RE can be such a joke. ozarks , california NWT etc can be soo poor. thats the reason i prefer asian maps over all other. they have best balance as for res. goes. may be filled with berries but at least you have food. maps like borneo , yellow river are cool for that reason alone

I agree, Dan. I always set Asian maps when I practice. There is always a herd, usually berries and a fair mine or two. Plus the damn animals near the TC don't run. That is so handy.

I don't understand why they couldn't have patched at least the maps that are known for bad hunt screws, like Great Lakes and Carolina come to mind. There have been many times that I have to search for 20 seconds around my base just to find my first hunt of deer. That shouldn't be

Actually, it can and does happen on competitive maps too. Albeit not usually as ofter or as bad, but it does still happen.

well, wars are never fair, sides are never equal or balanced, so it's realistic :D

Don't forget there's an economic side to it, too. Commerce isn't fair, either. Some countries (and their colonies) have more resources than others. ;)
