Round 1 - Soccerman771 vs lordnorman

Post by Soccerman771 »

Soccerman771 vs lordnorman
French vs Japanese
Winner: Soccerman771

Description: lordnorman opted to go Japanese vs my French. He decided to stick it out in colonial while I opted for a very fast semi-ff. He raided with yumi's to try and pick-off a few cdb's but I had 'em beefed up with both market upgrades and sent the 3 hussars card to handle them. I pushed forward and took the trade posts, while he grabbed one and one of the natives. Once in fortress my cannons, Cuir's, and merc's (Jaeger's) were no match for the Ashi's and Yumi's he had waiting for me as a surprise party. I was going to try a Cuir spam, but once he spotted the stable I tried to hide in the corner, I changed strats.

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Interesting stats from the game:
We both aged to colonial 1 second apart 4:47 vs 4:48.
I had a kill/death ratio of 2.48 vs his of .45
He made 88 military units to my 70.
Neither of us took advantage of the water.
He stole one of my 100 food treasures prior to reaching colonial....

well played soccerman

try to always protect your cannons, most of the time they were not.
your deck is rather weird, but if it works for you, np

you have a solid gameplay that can get you several PR higher for sure!

Yep, he plays better than his PR for sure. I though so when I watched his games. He plays like a 1st Lt from what I saw.

Thanks. I really think that is where I need help, especially what I bolded above. Protecting the cannons and especially the deck building. I like to be able to adapt to what my enemy is doing, but I'm not always certain what to put in there...

I appreciate the feedback from both you and Craz3n. I'll take any help I can get.
