36drew vs. kingkara on Hisponia

Post by 36drew »

I've had some requests for how to play otto. This is a great example of how to sea boom and always be attacking. The game ends up with otto industrial vs. colonial dutch. Its a good watch for otto players.

Meh, he rolled over me essentially.

Any advice for me from some higher players is welcome.

I should have sent colonial militia as my first shipment, and I should have gone to fortress earlier and spent fewer resources on getting skirmishers early on, since my TC could defend me for a while.

Hispaniola is a great map for Otto though. Oh well.

P.S. Drew you might want to post the game.

this map is one of the best for otto, it's really hard to beat the water boom.
Drew, isn't it better to spread out the docks more?

KK shipped schooners as first card which basically lost him the game imho
at 7'00 not having a rax and skirms vs otto ....
on this map, dutch can age up fast as well (10vil)
and no need to ship CM as first card, go for 3 vils or skip it if aging up fast
